Trade Market for Broadcasting and Video Content: Aiming for $150 Million in Transactions

Now in its 12th year, the Busan Content Market is dedicated to presenting Korean broadcasting and video content to a global audience, fostering exports, and discussing the latest industry trends to stimulate sector growth. This year, the event aims to facilitate $150 million in transactions, with 1,200 companies and 3,200 buyers and sellers from 47 countries participating. Notably, the event will host 400 companies and 650 international delegates, reflecting strong global interest in the Korean broadcasting industry.

Efforts to expand beyond the traditionally China-and-Japan-focused export markets have attracted new buyers from around the world, including Russia’s CTC Media, Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE, TV Ukraine, and Iran’s Omid TV.

Diverse Events to Foster International Investment in Broadcasting and Video Content

The Busan Content Market offers numerous opportunities for domestic broadcasters to attract international investment. Highlights include the "Cultural Content Fund Investment Plan Conference," one-on-one investment consultations (BIZ Matching) with an advisory panel and broadcast and video production companies, and a global pitching event to showcase local broadcast and video content to domestic and foreign investors and buyers.
